Lead Clinician & Founder

Hi. My name is Leslie Lartey. I am a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

I believe unforeseen circumstances befall us all. For many of us, the environments we grew up in were completely out of our hands. We navigate difficult, sometimes deeply negative experiences that leave a lasting impact. Oftentimes, these moments quietly follow us into the future—shaping our moods, altering our behaviors, affecting our decision-making, and tinting how we perceive the world around us. This doesn’t mean you are broken; it simply means you are human.

With a career in healthcare that began in 2014 and over a decade of hands-on experience, I have been a board-certified Nurse Practitioner since 2019. Today, I leverage this extensive clinical background to provide care that is as medically grounded as it is deeply compassionate.

As a dual-certified provider, I believe we can never discount a person’s background. Your history shapes who you are. That is why I start my intake process not by checking off boxes, but by truly understanding you. I strive to view the world through your unique lens. This allows me to understand exactly how you have carried life's traumatic or unpleasant chapters, and why you see things the way you do.

While I am trained to formulate accurate clinical diagnoses, a label is never my primary focus. My focus is entirely on how your symptoms are impacting your day-to-day life.

When it comes to treatment, my approach is highly collaborative, intentional, and balanced:

  • Mindful Medication Management: I tailor pharmacologic support precisely to your daily needs, with the strict goal of helping you reach optimal wellness using the minimal effective dose. I fully recognize that every journey is different—some individuals may need medication as a short-term bridge to get past a specific challenge, while others benefit from stable, long-term management.
  • Integrated Psychotherapy: Medication alone is rarely the whole answer. I believe psychotherapy is an essential element of true healing. Through genuine, consistent conversation, we work together over time to reshape perceptions, build practical coping tools, and find a healthier, more grounded view of the challenges you face.
  • Care Across the Lifespan: Having been trained to care for individuals from "cradle to advanced age," I treat patients from age 6 all the way through the elderly. I deeply understand the unique developmental phases, life transitions, and distinct challenges that come with each stage of life, and I meet my patients exactly where they are.
  • A Dedicated Listener: In my practice, I intentionally do far more listening than talking. You are the expert on your own life; I am here to guide and support you.

Backed by over a decade of diverse clinical experience spanning intensive care, hospital medicine, nephrology, and outpatient care—alongside eight years as a nursing instructor teaching real-world empathy—I am here to offer you a safe, authoritative, and deeply holistic space to heal.

If you or someone you love is looking for an interactive, compassionate provider who truly bridges the gap between therapy and medical management, please feel free to reach out. I would be more than honored to work with you. You do not have to navigate this chapter alone.
